It is time for change!

Okay so I am sick of gaining weight and being fat. I figured out the other day that I have gained 42 pounds since Justin and I got married and for those of you who have seen me recently I'm sure you noticed!! Its just disgusting. So what am I going to do about it? I'm going to join the Valley's Biggest Loser Competition. For those other Biggest Loser fans like me you know that the contestants compete every week to see who has the greatest percentage of weight loss. Well this program is the same. I starts Jan. 30 and is 15 weeks long. Twice a week you meet with everybody to have training sessions and once a week you meet with a nutrition coach. Of course I'll be hitting the gym more too!! Then every Saturday morning you have weigh in. Now if you lose the weeks weigh in you are placed in the consolation challenge but you can still participate in all training. The grand prize is 5,000 dollars and the consolation prize is 1,000 dollars. Needless to say it would be great to win but I just want to lose weight!!! To help me on the way I purchased this wonderful little thing with my Christmas money...

This is the Body Bugg and it is featured on the Biggest Loser. You wear it on your arm throughout the whole day minus the shower of course and it calculates the calories you burn as well as acts as a pedometer. At the end of the day you plug it into your computer, it uploads the information, and you enter in what you ate for the day thus showing you either a calorie surplus or deficit. Voila! Justin got one too and we are so excited!!! This will show me just why I've gained so much weight and the Valley's Biggest Loser will hold me accountable when i'm trying to lose weight! My goal is 60 pounds so we shall see how it goes. I can't wait for Jan. 30!

You never realize how much you love and appreciate your husband...

until you never see him!!! This whole working from 4:30-1am everyday is killing me!!! I miss him! Why is that we can't be home at the same time!! Hopefully this craziness will end after the holidays!

Where did my voice go?

Well its not quiet all the way gone but its definitely on its way out. This is the first time in my life this has every happened and for those of you who know me know that I like to talk. This stinks! I'm straining myself trying to communicate so that people can hear me. Justin just laughs at me. O well. Hopefully it won't be gone too long!!

Red Shirt and Khaki Pants...

Yup people that's right I got a job at Target!!!!!!! Yay!!!! I am so excited!! I have been looking for work for forever!!! I went in to interview this morning and I interviewed with one lady and she told me to go back and sit down and that she would get me a 2nd interview. So I had another interview. After that he told me that they would like to hire me!!!! I will be working in the women's clothing department which is fine by me because I have experience in that! I just went to take my drug test (fingers crossed haha) and as soon as my background check comes back then I'll be starting orientation! Wish me luck!

I hate being sick...

I started to feel sick on monday night...tuesday morning I woke up with horrendous ear pain so I thought I might have an ear infection so I went to the doctor. I didn't. Just the typical fluid behind the ear drums due to drainage. So needless to say I was just achey all over, my throat was sore, my ears hurt BAD, and I had a bad headache. After two days of rest I am feeling much, much better...this could be however from the fact that I am all drugged up. I was bummed too because I was suppoed to go to Disneyland today. O well. I'm just glad that I was sick before Christmas instead of on Christmas this year!!! Anyways enough of my complaining. Since I was feeling better tonight I went to our Relief Society Whoville Wholiday Whobilation tonight which was way fun. It was nice to meet some more people. Its hard when your the new one but there are about 5 other brand new families so it helps a little bit. We had dinner and a little "grinch" skit and just visited. Our ward seems great and I can't wait to get more involved in it.

O how i love apartment living...

Justin and I got home tonight from our ward Christmas party only to find our upstairs neighbors having a party. Mind you the apartment is the same as ours and they have about 20-30 people in there all smoking and drinking and it sounds like they just keep jumping up and down. Justin went upstairs to ask them to quiet down being that its midnight and it just got worse...so what did we do? we called the police. they came and left and so far its been much quieter. we'll see. we have no problem calling again...

Disneyland for Thanksgiving...

This year my family went to Arizona and we stayed here to be with Justin's family. We had already had a thanksgiving dinner around Jim's funeral when everybody was here so we decided what the heck why not go to Disneyland! It was sort of crowded but we had a great time. It was Justin, Troy, Spencer, Bob, Joyce, and I...here are a few pictures from the day...

I know its early and we haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet but we wanted to enjoy the season as long as we could. Our first Christmas as an engaged couple Justin was sick, and our first Christmas as a married couple I woke up with the flu. Soooo I am praying that we both are healthy this year and if not we're getting a jump start at least. Justin likes to put on the star and I don't mind...hes taller ;)

When I put Santa up on the mantel I realized that he was sort of covering Christ which is kind of how Christmas is to most people. Sad...when we get our stockings hes coming down!!!

Grandpa Jim's Funeral

We had Justin's grandpa's funeral yesterday in Menifee. Jim Golledge was such a great man and in the words of my father in law, "it was a great and dreadful day." It was great because we were able to celebrate his life and his many accomplishments and it was dreadful because he wasn't there able to share it with us. I grew to love Jim in this past two years and he will be missed but I know that he is watching over us. Love you Jim!!

Grandpa Jim

Justin's grandpa passed away last night at 8:20pm. Jim Golledge will definitely be missed. He has had a 7 year struggle with Alzheimer's and I've only known him the past 2 years of it. When I first met him he could remember my name and then the disease slowly took its toll. Around august i started watching Jim a few days a week and then towards the end only once a week on Tuesdays so Sheri could get out of the house. During that time I came to love that man. Every time I would come to watch him I would say, "Hi Jim!" and he wold perk right up and raise his eyebrows at me. Even to the bitter end he would recognize me. Grandpa Jim suffered a fall last Sunday and it just made him shut down. He stopped swallowing on Tuesday so that stopped him from eating or drinking anything. Since Tuesday we've been with him. It was so hard to see him deteriorate the way he did, but when he finally passed last night he looked so peaceful and we knew that he was with his family probably doing cartwheels and was so excited to finally have control again of his mind. What would we do without the gospel and the knowledge we have of eternal families. Sheri and Jim were married for 56 years and you could see how much she loved him by the way she cared for him. He will be missed but we are grateful that he no longer has to suffer. Love you Jim!

Date Night

O how I love date night! Its just always so nice to have some time with my sweet husband! Tonight we went to chipotle for dinner (which has somehow become my most favorite place having previously been disliked) and then we went to go see couples retreat. It actually was very funny. It was nice to hear Justin laughing because it meant he wouldn't be mad for making him see it. haha. o men. now just enjoying the rest of our night in our new little apartment. complete bliss!

Disneyland!!

Blair, Bradley, Spencer and I decided to head to Disneyland today for a little bit of fun! The boys were out of school today and Blair is moving up to Utah in a couple of weeks so we thought what the heck! We got there about 10 and left about 2. It was really, really crowded but I love going during the holiday time because I love all the decorations. We were able to ride haunted, pirates, splash mountain, and we got fast passes for space mountain since it was new for Halloween!! It was really scary believe it or not. They had a sign at the front that advised those with kids not to bring them on it. I thought it should have said, "If you are a total wuss, and you pee your pants in scary situations, and your name is Casey Golledge do not ride!" HAHA. really though. I am a wuss. Anyways we had a great time and here are a few pictures from the day.

Moved In!!!

Well we are finally all moved in and unpacked and it feels so good!! I love our new place! It already feels like home. Hopefully we'll make many great memories here!
