Student Teaching Assignment

I am so excited because I finally got my student teaching assignment!!
It is no longer a mystery!

I will be going to Brimhall JHS in Mesa, AZ.
I start January 4th and my cooperating teacher in Larry Johnson.
I get to teach 8th grade social studies and I will be lucky enough to
cover the Cold War, Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, etc.
Some of my favorite topics!!

Can't Wait!!

Travis and Megan's Wedding

Last Saturday we got to go to Travis and Megan's wedding!
They were married on October 22, 2011 in the San Diego Temple.
It was a beautiful day :)

Here's me and my cute brother in law Spencer
The hunky camera man husband ;)
 The happy couple
 Love this temple!!!
 The parents

The Golledge Fam
The brothers
 Centerpiece
My new sister in law :)
 The three Golledge girls
 The cake

It was such a nice day and we wish them all the happiness in the world!!

Flood

We woke up last Thursday to 2 inches of water covering our entire apartment. Keep in mind that we woke up to this about an hour before we were supposed to leave for the airport to go to Justin's brothers wedding.
The washing machine hose had burst...
We called our landlord.
After leaving tons of wet clothes, shoes, furniture sitting in water, etc. we came back Sunday night to find that it still wasn't dry.
We had to stay in a hotel that night that we had to pay for!

So Monday we took off work and school and came home to this...
 and this...
 and this...

 and this...
 and this...
 and this...

We are still working on putting everything back where it belongs.
Plus they couldn't stretch back out our carpet because they would need everything cleared out...umm no thank you.
We are leaving in 7 weeks so for now we will live with lumpy carpet...
Poor people who are moving in after us!!

I love conference! I love that we are so blessed to be able to hear from our living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson.
I love the gospel and I love this church that I am so blessed to be a part of!

The Golledge's came to town...

This past week Justin's parents came to town to visit us for a few days before the semester started.
We had such a wonderful time and were sad to see them go.

They got here Sunday night and left Thursday morning.

Monday we went to the Bodies Exhibit in Idaho Falls. It was so cool to see all of the bodies. It amazes me that some people think we just all of the sudden came to be. When you see something like that it just confirms that there is a God in Heaven.
Later that night we met up with Justin's cousin Sean and his wife Emily for dinner and a movie.
Tuesday we woke up bright and early to head over to Jackson Hole, WY to go white water rafting!

Bob in Joyce in the car on the way there.
Us waiting to load the van to head out to the river

Bob and Joyce waiting too. We were so excited!
Justin after the trip down the river. He just got a little wet ;)

 The beautiful Snake River
Looking good after getting drenched! haha. not!

If you want to see our rafting pictures go here:

After rafting we went into downtown Jackson to walk around and have lunch. It is so pretty there.

Probably my favorite picture of the whole trip!
I love you Bob!
HAHA

In front of one of the antler arches

Justin was having a tender moment with Mark Twain
And I was chatting it up with Honest Abe
We spent Wednesday just hanging out.
Bob and Justin went on a bike ride while Joyce and I went shopping.
Later that night we went to see a movie.

We were sad to have to take them to the airport on Thursday morning but we got to snap a few more pictures before they left :)

We can't wait to see them next month at Travis's and Megan's wedding!

California Trip 2011

We had such an awesome time at home! It went by way to fast! We got to spend time with both families. We went to the beach, did some bowling, had some wonderful family dinners, dinners with friends, swimming, etc.

Saturday night we went to Rosa's Cafe for dinner and then went to see Captain America. So good.

Troy
 Spencer
My cute in-laws, Bob and Joyce
 Justin and his mom
 Us
We were loving the dorky 3D glasses

We went to the beach on Monday and had such a blast with this little cutie. Justin and I got some pretty sweet sunburns...AGAIN!!

Tuesday night we went to dinner with our friends Dana, Travis, and their son Canaan.
We love them!!!
Yesterday we went bowling. It was Lucy's first time.

 She bowled a strike!

She was mad at us this morning for leaving her to go back to Idaho. She wasn't too willing to take a picture.
Love my mom. Hope I can be like her one day.
 My wonderful grandpa.

Thanks everyone for a great trip! Miss you already!!
