Day 24: A picture of something you wish you could change

Last Monday we found out that Justin's last day at his job would be May 13th. They opened up an office in Europe so they don't really need him for the German calls :(
Needless to say we are a little stressed but we have faith that everything will work out.

Easter Dinner

Justin and I realized that this was our first holiday away from our families! Luckily some family lives right across the hall so we had them over for dinner!!
This is what Justin did while I slaved away in the kitchen ;)

The spread...honey glazed chicken, cooked carrots, scalloped potatoes, deviled eggs, and orange glazed rolls! Yum!

Day 22: A picture of something you wish you were better at

I really wish I was better at having Charity. I am super nice to people I like and I love my family and friends and I do really nice things for people but on the other hand there are A LOT of people I don't like and who get on my nerves. In high school my mom told me I needed to love more people and I told her I loved who I loved and that was good enough. I really struggle with loving people I don't like and seeing them as my Heavenly Father sees them. I'm working on it. I want to be better.

Day 21: A picture of something you wish you could forget

I wish I could forget my love of fast food (really an addiction) so that I wouldn't eat so much of it and wouldn't be so fat!

Day 19: A picture of you when you were little

I thought I was going to teach high school...

I have an education class this semester that requires me to spend time in a classroom twice a week observing, preparing, and teaching. For those of you who don't know I am a Social Science Ed Major and I want to teach high school so imagine my dismay when I looked over the syllabus and discovered that we would be in a middle school and even worse it would be with a 5th grade class (they are weird up here and middle school is 5-7 grade) anyways I don't know if I'm going to be so hot at the whole 5th grade thing. I like older students. Yes a whole different array of problems come with high school but I am comfortable with them. Here's to an interesting semester!

I'm Finally Where I Belong...

The first day of Spring Semester was today and I finally feel like I am where I belong. I am with my "peeps" for lack of a better word. As I sat in my first class this morning (Renaissance and Reformation) I felt at home. I have reached the point in my college career where I only have classes that apply to me. As we were doing introductions this morning one kid proudly exclaimed that he was a history major and he sucked at math. All of us gave an AMEN to that brother.

Writing Papers-I can do that
Reading lots of books- I can do that
Studying the lives of those in the past- Love to do that
Not ever having to complete another math problem- Gladly do that

This semester will be difficult. It will require a lot of hard work and discipline but I am excited because to me it is interesting. Justin looked at me funny this morning when I got home with a big smile on my face but unless you are passionate about the subject of history you will never understand the enjoyment that comes from studying it.

Day 18: A picture of your biggest insecurity

Being fat in my biggest insecurity and although I hate it I can
t stop myself from eating. It is a vicious cycle!

Day 17: A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

I have one every single day which makes it difficult to do anything I need to or want to do. It is hard to concentrate on school stuff...why in the heck would I go exercise with my head pounding...and all I really want to do is sleep so it goes away temporarily.

Day 16: A picture of someone who inspires you

My mom is the most amazing person I know! She is one of my best friends and I love her so much! If I can become half of the woman she is I will be one lucky girl!
Love you Mom!

Day 15: A picture of something you want to do before you die

I would love to go to Germany and Austria and see where Justin served. We would also love to be able to serve a mission there when we get to be old and decrepit! HAHA. jk about the decrepit part ;)

Day 14: A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

Thursday, April 14, 2011

"It is so rewarding to be married. Marriage is wonderful. In time you begin to think alike and have the same ideas and impressions. You have times when you are extremely happy, times of testing, and times of trial, but the Lord guides you through all of those growth experiences together." -Richard G. Scott

This quote is from Elder Scott's talk "The Eternal Blessings of Marriage" from this past conference. I am so grateful for the words that he spoke and for the testimony of marriage he gave. We live in a world where marriage is not held as anything sacred. It is more of a lets try it out and if it doesn't work out oh well kind of thing. I love being married and I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to marry my best friend. I am also so grateful that Justin and I were able to be sealed in the temple because I think it gives us as Latter Day Saints a different perspective on marriage. It is forever and it is to be worked on and cherished not just thrown to the side when things get rough. I am grateful for Justin's sunny disposition and for the wonderful man he is. I snagged a good one. Here's to marriage!!

Day 13: A picture of your favorite band or artist

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Day 11: A picture of something you hate

I hate when people chew with their mouths open mostly because I HATE ALL MOUTH NOISES!! Ask Justin I can't stand mouth noises. I think there is something wrong with because they seriously make me cringe!

Day 10: A picture of the person you do the most adventurous things with

Of course I do the most adventurous things with this goof ball ;)

Sunday, April 10, 2011

Day 9: A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

Hands down.

Day 8: A picture that makes you laugh

This picture has always made me laugh!! It is things like this that make me love him so much!!

Day 7: A picture of your most treasured item

My most treasured item would most definitely be the gospel. It influences every part of my life and I am so grateful for it.

Back in 2007 I came to a summer program at BYU-Idaho. It was by far one of the best experiences of my life and I met some really wonderful people. Last night a few of us met up at Craigos. It was great to catch up.

This is Carissa and I back in 2007. She was my very first roommate :)

Us last night... Now we're just old married ladies ;)
Ryan and Carissa :)
Alex and Melanie were both in our group and ended up married with the cutest little girl.

Day 6: A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

When I was younger I always wondered what it would be like to be someone else but I have come to realize in my old age ;) that I am perfectly happy just being Casey Golledge. I have a wonderful husband and family with a bright future ahead. Now I would mind going back to when I was skinny and then making sure I didn't get fat but o well! haha

Day 5: A picture of your favorite memory

My favorite memory and the best day of my life was the day I got to marry my best friend! I am so grateful that he is all mine ;) and that he has been kind enough to put up with my shenanigans! haha

Day 4: A picture of your night

My night has consisted of being a little overly excited by the fact that my dishwasher is now fixed :)
Driving to pick up Justin from work...
Studying for my finals tomorrow...wish me luck!
and now watching Justin play XBOX. o my how I hate that stupid thing.

What is it about napping that is so amazing? I seriously live for naps. Like I have mentioned in the past I seem to be tired ALL OF THE TIME as well as have a migraine ALL OF THE TIME so a nap is the prefect cure! I take one practically every day (I am enjoying this while I still don't any kids because I know when I do my beloved naps will fly away) and even though I usually intend to only sleep an hour it ends up being 2-3 sometimes more. Something is seriously wrong with me. I practically sleep my life away. O well. For example, Justin and I woke up yesterday right at 10 so we could watch conference. Then I took a nap from 12-2 and woke up to watch the next session and then was in bed again at 10. Today I slept from 4-6:45. Tomorrow I'll probably sleep some more...Sweet dreams :)

Day 3: A picture of the cast from your favorite show

I love friends and so does Justin so it is a match made in heaven :)

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Day 2: A picture of you and the person you have been close with for awhile

This is Jennifer Hale. She is one of my very best friends. We met about 2 years ago in American Sign Language Class. Our relationship at first included class and going to Del Taco to eat lunch and get churros! Because of that we ended up doing Valleys Biggest Loser together ;) where we became best friends. I love Jennifer and am so grateful for her friendship. I look forward to a lifetime of friendship and many many more wonderful memories!
Love ya Jen!

Officially In Love With...

Heather Osborne introduced this to me a few weeks ago and I am officially smitten!
Basically you pay 5 dollars a month and you get a meal plan for dinners as well as a grocery list and estimated cost. Brilliant! Justin and I spend waaaay to much money on food every month between eating out and groceries that usually go bad because we eat out all the this works perfectly for me and whats even better is they have a plan for 2 (or more) so we don't waste! Go check it !
Let me know what you think.
